My Ministry

Son Valley Youth Ranch features horsemanship and day camp with the goal of bringing children and horses together to bond, heal and grow through the love of Jesus Christ. We want children, teens and adults who come here to find love and peace from a harsh world. Our priority is to help those who are at risk or less fortunate.

Wendy's Fundraiser!

We were accepted by Wendy's "Give Something Back, Community Night" as a community program they want to support. They will give us 15% of the profit brought in during our time volunteering cleaning the tables. Starting this Sunday January 20th 5:00-7:00p.m. and every Sunday 5-7pm after for the next few months. Help us out by eating dinner at Wendy's and visit us on Sunday evenings.

"At Wendy's we are committed to supporting communities with a focus on children. We believe all children deserve a loving and permanent family and the support they need to reach their potential.
That's why we support programs throughout the year that help kids in our communities." Wendy's

2012 Reflectioin and Looking at 2013

I have been reflecting on Son Valley Youth Ranch’s 2012 blessings.  Sure we have had our trials and troubles but oh are we blessed, yes indeed. To name a few; We have a tractor on our property that is being loaned to us, 37 rolls of hay donated, 13 sold wood handmade benches made, shelter built, lots of firewood donated, arena ground prepared, found a grant writer, and developed a youth bible study.  The best blessing of all is 16 people received Christ this year at the ranch! Praise the Lord.

Sessions are closed in the winter but we are still busy with daily chores and preparing the ranch for the kids that will come in 2013. Upcoming events; Mandy and I are taking five girls to a Christian youth conference in February. It is a 2-day event packed with powerful Christian bands and speakers, setting the stage for our youth to have a life-changing encounter with the living God.  Then April 7th we are so excited to have Tommy Tinder and other bands giving their time and talent to S.V.Y.R fundraising concert at the Grand Theatre.

Prayer partners if you could pray with us for our needs to be met.  We need a water line for a hydrant and automatic water system installed. We need a tack room near the arena and tie up posts. And we need rock, rock and more rock. And always in need of volunteers not just with the horses and kids but in many areas.

Anyone wishing to support S.V.Y.R. financially on a monthly basis or a one-time gift can go to our blogs donated button or send a check to RR 1 Box 48B, Canton MO  63435.
